Head of Engineering
Lead technical direction at DeepCiphers, raise engineering standards and help product teams deliver secure, scalable software and AI systems with confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Own engineering standards, architecture direction and technical quality across active projects.
- Coach engineers and technical leads through design reviews, delivery decisions and difficult trade-offs.
- Improve development workflows, testing discipline, code review and release reliability.
- Partner with product, project and business teams on scope, estimates and technical risk.
- Guide platform, cloud, security, observability and performance decisions where needed.
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance development and engineering-team growth.
- Keep technical debt visible and balance short-term delivery with long-term maintainability.
Requirements:
- Strong full-stack engineering background with production systems at meaningful scale.
- Proven experience leading engineers and making architecture decisions.
- Excellent knowledge of modern web architecture, APIs, databases, cloud and security fundamentals.
- Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort owning quality, delivery risk and engineering process improvements.
Nice to Have:
- Experience delivering AI-enabled products or LLM integrations.
- Experience in a software-services or multi-client engineering environment.
- Hands-on familiarity with Next.js, TypeScript, Python/FastAPI or modern cloud platforms.
Experience:
- Typically 7+ years in software engineering with 2+ years in an engineering leadership role.
